The Bishopdown Farm Residents' Association (BFRA) was established over 10 years ago to represent the views of the over 800 households on the Bishopdown Farm / Hampton Park area.

Through an innovative financing approach which supports local businesses, all residents are automatically members of the BFRA and members benefit from an active and vibrant committee who are committed to ensuring that our local area remains an attractive and safe place to live.

The BFRA looks to be involved in the key issues that affect our community to ensure that local residents have their voices heard. The most recent example of this has been the fight against the application to build 500 homes in open countryside on our doorstep. In addition, the BFRA looks to organise community events and in 2010 organised a highly successful Car Boot Sale as well as a very well attended Halloween Party for local children.

The BFRA has established and built excellent relationships with key local organisations such as Laverstock & Ford Parish Council, Wiltshire Police and Wiltshire Council as well as many others. This ensures that there is sufficient focus on our community from all of the key agencies that have an impact on our daily lives. The BFRA is also lucky to benefit from the support of our local MP, John Glenn.
